MILESTONE: Shomide promotes Kampala, doles out Cash to Kampala Traders at Itoku Market, Ogun State

The Chairman, Transition Committee Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide has on Friday December 11, 2020 distributed Cash worth of N120,000 each to some traders at Itoku in support to aid their trading parlance of Adire Fabrics productions.

The initiatives was said to advocate and encourage the important of Adire/Kampala to all dwellers and indegens in Ogun State as the 'cultural heritage' in which the cohabitants in the state should not do without.

Hon. Shomide reiterated that, the fresh approach in using Adire Textile is to collaborate the efforts of the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR. He however urged the individuals, Corporate organisation, Private schools to keen into the idealistic development of putting on Adire/Kampala, for the adoption of the initiatives would promote the 'Own Cloth' of Ogun State Fabrics to other neighboring countries.

The Commissioner for Ministry of Industry, Trade and investment who was ably represented by the Director of the Ministry, Mrs. Yetunde Olatunbosun enlightened the Kampala Traders to be focused in their endeavours that the Ministry is established and purposed to increase them in their dealings, most importantly, to ensure Adire/Kampala textiles is used in the communities.

Mrs. Akinbola Mariam of Asero Kampala Market who benefited in the Cash distributed by the Council  Chairman, Hon. Shomide, expressed delight promised that the largess would be used to support her in Kampala businesses.

Those present at the event were: first female Speaker in Ogun State; Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni Gomez, ASLG Party Chairman; Alhaji Enri Fagbenro, all political functionaries in ASLG and the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA); Mr. Owolabi B.A.
